Pusateri’s on Avenue Road reopened Monday

TORONTO, Ont. – The flagship Pusateri’s store on Avenue Road reopened, Monday, after being closed for several days for health concerns.

Staff have spent the last four days scrubbing every shelf and floor after the high-end grocery store was shut down on Oct. 20.

Last week, a spokesperson for Toronto Public Health confirmed to 680News the store was ordered closed due to poor sanitation and a pest infestation.

However, the general manager of that location told the Toronto Star the store was closed for “general maintenance”, saying it is “not” a rodent issue, but an issue related to equipment.

Past inspection reports on the City of Toronto’s “Dine Safe” website show no problems dating back to 2009.
