Problems with the Presto card system at several GO Transit stations, Thursday, have now been resolved.
An official with the transit system told 680Nnews that this appeared to be a glitch involving the software.
“Approximately 200 Presto devices across the system were affected by the software issue this morning. A total of six GO stations were completely off-line and affected by the software issue,” Malon Edwards, a spokesperson with GO Transit, said.
GO issued an apology to riders who were inconvenienced.
An official with the transit system told 680News earlier Thursday the glitch started at about 6:30 a.m. At the time, passengers with Presto cards were being told to by-pass the machines and board the trains.
