Two seniors suffer serious injuries in separate crashes in GTA

TORONTO, Ont. –  Toronto police traffic services are on the scene of two separate crashes that have sent two seniors to hospital with serious injuries.

Just after 7:30 p.m., a 78-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on Bathurst Street near Vaughan Road, south of St. Clair.

She suffered serious injuries to her head and lower body.

The vehicle involved fled the scene.

A second crash happened at around 8 p.m. on Queens Park Circle.

A 74-year-old man suffered life-threatening head injuries.

The driver of the car in that crash remained on scene.
