Research In Motion shares fall to nine-year low

RIM shares have fallen below book value for the first time since 2002. The Blackberry maker’s shares fell to $18.61 (U.S.) in New York trading.

Neeraj Monga, an analyst at Veritas Investment Research Group Corp. in Toronto, told Bloomberg that there’s a 50 per cent change to the stock will drop to single digits within 12 months.

According to Bloomberg, analysts estimate that the company’s book value will increase 7.7 per cent to $20.38 a share in this quarter.
