The LCBO is recalling and suspending sales of select products from the Woody’s line of vodka coolers after finding glass particles in some of the bottles.
Last week, the LCBO recalled Woody’s brand Mexican Lime Alcoholic Vodka Beverage for the same problem.
“In the interest of customer safety and in consultation with the supplier and their Ontario agent, we recalled these products immediately after our quality assurance staff confirmed the presence of glass particles in some bottles,” says Dr. George Soleas, Senior Vice President, LCBO Logistics & Quality Assurance.
The list of affected products is:
– Orangetini Orange Vodka Cooler – 4 X 330 mL
– Pomtini Vodka & Pomegranate Cooler – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Blackcurrant & Apple – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Light Orange – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Pink Grapefruit – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Refresher – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Light Raspberry – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Vodka Cola – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Sasparilla – 4 X 330 mL
– Woody’s Party Pack (mixed flavours) – 12 X 330 mL
The LCBO says the problem is apparently related to the drink’s bottling process.
Customers who have purchased affected products can return them to the LCBO for a full refund.
