TORONTO, Ont. – Still not finished your Christmas shopping? Although many people say they’ll be avoiding the malls at all costs today, some enjoy the last minute rush.
While the malls will be crowded, eager shoppers who can handle the stress often come across impressive last minute deals.
One man told 680News his last minute shopping plan worked perfectly.
“I made sure it was a weekday I did it on,” he said. “Even though the malls were still busy, I got it done relatively quickly.”
Meanwhile, another shopper told 680News of his strategy to save money.
“We’re doing Christmas on the 30th so we get everything discounted,” he said. “We buy big things so it has to be discounted.”
Another shopper said all you have to do is be methodical.
“I have a list of people I have to shop for, I write down exactly what I want to get them, then it’s just get in there, go exactly where I need to be, get the present, get out,” he said.
Others refuse to step outside their front door.
“The day before? I don’t want to go to Walmart either,” said one woman.
So if you are going to brave the crowds, we have a list of what’s open and closed over the holidays.
