Chiefs name Crennel as new head coach

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have hired Romeo Crennel as their new head coach.

The team announced the decision Monday. Crennel joined the Chiefs as the defensive co-ordinator in 2010 after four years as the head coach in Cleveland.

He had been serving as Kansas City’s interim head coach, taking over the final three games of the season after Todd Haley was fired.
