York U named “greenest” university in Canada

TORONTO, Ont. – York University has been named “the greenest university in Canada.”
It’s the second year in a row the university has been tops in the country.
The 2011 UI Green Metric Ranking of World Universities ranked 42 schools by looking at things like energy consumption, commuting practices, green space on campus and waste and water management.
The University of Nottingham in the U.K. placed first overall.
