Wind warning ends for GTA; cold temps still expected overnight

TORONTO, Ont. – Environment Canada has ended the wind warning for the GTA and surrounding areas.
A flash freeze warning continues for Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale, Midland, Coldwater, Orr Lake, Orillia, Lagoon City and Washago.
Foggy conditions prompted a weather advisory from Porter Airlines, Tuesday.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement calling for fog and a return to below freezing temperatures Tuesday night, which could change the rain we’re getting to snow later on in the night.
680News meteorologist Jill Taylor said both situations will make driving less than ideal.
“We’re getting the fog this morning, which could really reduce visibility. But again, that wind will pick up, help to take care of the fog, and then rain for much of the day and mild temperatures, but tonight, we could be dealing with those flurries, so watch for that slippery road conditions,” Taylor said.
The Porter Airlines website said travellers in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Newark, Windsor and Chicago could be affected by inclement weather.
Porter is asking you to confirm the status of your flight before heading out to the airport.
