Woman struck at Keele and Hwy. 401

A woman was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near Keele Street and Highway 401 around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say a 66-year-old woman was walking north on Keele Street in the curb lane when she stepped out in the road and tried to cross.
She was hit by a northbound tractor-trailer.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes of Keele were temporarily closed from the 401 ramp to Wilson Avenue for the investigation.
