Man stabbed in east-end robbery

One man has been taken to hospital after a robbery turned violent in the city’s east end Saturday night.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 9:45 p.m. in the Markham and Ellesmere Road area.
Police tell CityNews a robbery took place outside of a gas station on Markham Road. The victim was stabbed in the incident and police are now on the hunt for four or five suspects.
Officials say the victim’s injuries aren’t life-threatening.
Investigators are busy reviewing security footage from the gas station.
