Senators acquire G Bishop from Blues

The Ottawa Senators acquired goaltender Ben Bishop from the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, according to Sportsnet’s John Shannon.

Bishop, 25, has played in 38 games for the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen this season, posting a 24-14-0 record with six shutouts. He was drafted 85th overall by St. Louis in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

In 13 career games with the Blues, Bishop has a 4-5-1 record with one shutout. At 6-7, Bishop is the tallest goalie in NHL history.
