Suspect arrested after downtown stabbing

Police have arrested a man in his 30s after an early-morning stabbing Wednesday.

It happened around 7 a.m. at a co-op building on Mutual Street, near Dundas and Jarvis.

The victim was stabbed in the face, but was not seriously hurt.

Officers are also investigating another stabbing a few blocks away.

They confirm a man was stabbed near Gerrard and Parliament streets around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Paramedics took the victim to a local trauma centre, and he is expected to recover.

Police have not made any arrests in that case.
