Now that the deal with the outside workers is all said and done with, the City of Toronto is now putting its focus on reaching a deal with its inside workers.
The talks between the city and its inside workers have been going on since October.
“I couldn’t say exactly what progress has been made at this point,” Holyday said. “I know that negotiations are still in session with them and are still willing to meet with them, so I guess there’s something taking place. Negotiations aren’t the easiest matters, there’s a bit of give and a bit of take and I think we’re at that stage right now.”
Holyday said as long as they’re making progress in the neg, the city is willing to continue holding the talks.
There’s no firm deadline for when either side would like to reach a deal.
