OPP charge three men for lottery fraud

Provincial police have charged three men after investigating a 100,000 lottery winner.

Police said an employee at a retail lotto location in Brampton, Ont., purchased a poker lotto ticket at his place of work, which is contrary to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s “no play at work” policy.

Ontario Provincial Police said someone else tried to cash in the winning ticket.

Three men — one from Brampton and two from Guelph — are charged with fraud over 5,000.

They’ll appear in a Brampton court on April 30.
