Driver in fatal Mt. Pleasant crash released on bail

TORONTO, Ont. – 19-year-old Oliver Karafa has been released on bail.

On Thursday he was released on a $20,000 surety bond into the custody of his parents. According to his bail conditions he is not allowed to leave the province.

Karafa faces four charges in connection with a deadly crash on Mt. Pleasant Road, early Wednesday morning, that killed 24-year-old David Chiang.

Karafa was granted bail Wednesday, pending the appearance of his parents to act as sureties.
