Seven people have been injured – one seriously – after a four-vehicle head-on collision at Highway 50 and Langstaff, just east of The Gore Road, in Brampton Wednesday afternoon.
One of the injured has been transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto via air ambulance in serious condition.
Peel police confirm to CityNews that two other people have been driven to the trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries. Four other people involved in the crash have been taken to a local hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
Highway 50, a busy commuter route, was temporarily closed from north of Queen Street to Rutherford Road as crews investigated and cleaned up the wreckage, but it has since re-opened.
