Justin Bieber announces 2012 tour dates; includes Toronto date

TORONTO, Ont. – Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has announced dates for a North American tour in 2012, which includes just one Toronto, Ont., date — Dec. 1, 2012, at the Rogers Centre.

Tickets go on sale for the Toronto show on June 1 at noon, and $1 from each ticket will be donated to “Pencils of Promise” — a charity that works to build schools in the developing world.

The “Believe” tour starts Sept. 29 in Glendale, AZ, and wraps up January 2013 in Miami, Fla.

Fellow Canadian Carly Rae Jepsen is the opening act.

Bieber’s new album is set to be released June 19.
