TORONTO, Ont. – A section of Danforth Avenue has reopened to motorists and pedestrians after a suspicious package was found inside a Canada Post building.
Danforth Avenue was closed between Pape and Jones avenues.
A Canada Post employee discovered the package at around 8:30 a.m. at the postal distribution centre at 685 Danforth Ave.
The employee apparently opened up an envelope and found powder inside; however, the substance was deemed harmless.
Police, firefighters and a hazmat team were on the scene.
