Toronto police kicked off a traffic blitz Monday targeting drivers who ignore parking rules during rush hour.
The blitz, dubbed “Clear Sailing”, is targeting illegal parking in East York and the Beaches. The effort started at 7 a.m. Monday and runs through until Oct. 26 throughout 55 Division.
Officers will be on the lookout for drivers who leave their vehicles in no stopping zones and areas that interfere with traffic. Police say a zero-tolerance tag-and-tow policy will be in effect on “rush hour routes.”
