Just days after its official opening a new pedestrian bridge linking the CityPlace condominium development to Front Street West was closed by the city.
The bright yellow Puente de Luz bridge is expected to reopen within a month, Helen Noehammer from the city’s technical services department told CityNews.
The structure had a few “relatively minor” deficiencies, she said, including some sharp edges that could pose a hazard to pedestrians and cyclists.
Concord Adex funded the bridge, which officially opened on Oct. 26.
