Police identify North York murder victim

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have released the name of the city’s fifth murder victim of the year.
Police said Nyumwai Caroline Mkurazhizha, 23, of Zimbabwe, was found at a North York home on Saturday with obvious signs of trauma. She died of her injuries in hospital.
On Monday, police said a post-mortem exam had revealed the cause of death to be manual strangulation.
Police have charged Mohamed Adam Bharwani, 18, with first-degree murder.
The relationship between the accused and the victim is unclear.
