A man has been hospitalized with life-threatening head injuries after he was hit by a van in the city’s east end on Tuesday night.
The 35-year-old victim was crossing Victoria Park Avenue, near Sunrise Avenue, around 9:30 p.m. with two friends when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. The driver of the 2005 Ford Econoline that hit the man called 911.
The man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Toronto EMS said he suffered severe head trauma.
Toronto Police Traffic Services is investigating the collision and so far, the driver hasn’t been charged.
