Alysena 28 birth control pill being recalled: Health Canada

Apotex Inc. is recalling its Alysena 28 birth control pill after the pharmaceutical company says the product may contain too many rows of placebo tablets, Health Canada says.
The package may contain two rows of placebo tablets instead of the correct single row of placebo tablets, the health agency said Monday.
The drug was distributed in seven provinces including Ontario.
The product by Toronto-based Apotex was sold in tablet form with 100 mcg levonorgestrel and 20 mcg ethinyl estradiol. It has the DIN number 02387883
