Police have stepped up their investigation into three men who have gone missing from the Church and Wellesley area since 2010.
The first, 40-year-old Skandaraj “Skanda” Navaratnam, was last seen on Sept. 6, 2010, when he left a neighbourhood bar with a man. Police say he left his dog behind, which is unusual.
Almost four months later, on Dec. 29, 2010, Peel police got a report about another missing man, Abdulbasir “Basir” Faizi, who was last seen in the Church and Wellesley area.
The 44-year-old’s car turned up a few kilometres away on Moore Avenue.
And the son of Majeed “Hamid” Kayhan, 59, reported him missing after he was last seen on Oct. 14, 2012.
Police say all three of the missing men share a similar ethnicity and lifestyle and were active in the Church and Wellesley community.
Investigators canvassed the neighbourhood on Thursday.
