Ikea Canada has recalled two types of children’s beds because of possible injuries connected to the bed frame.
The company is offering free repairs kits to owners of the “Kritter” and “Sniglar” junior beds to fix a metal road that can break, exposing sharp edges.
The model numbers and date stamps are:
- Kritter – model #60090470, date stamp (YYWW) 1114-1322
- Sniglar – model #50087166, date stamp 1114-1318
No injuries have been reported, but the company said it has received seven reports worldwide of the metal rod breaking while in use.
Around 18,000 of the beds were sold in Canada.
Consumers can visit any Ikea store in Canada for a free repair kit, or contact the company toll-free at 1-800-661-9807.
