Drivers killed in head-on Pickering crash identified

Ontario Provincial Police have identified the two drivers who were killed in a head-on crash in Pickering on Saturday.

Rahaman Hussain, 25, of Ajax, and Alexeis Febles-Madrazo, 33, of Oshawa, were killed.

Police believe Hussain was heading the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 around 2:30 a.m.

He had earlier hit a vehicle near Harwood Avenue in Ajax before the fatal collision on Brock Road in Pickering.

Police found a Chevrolet Cruze, a Mazda 3 and a Mazda Tribute with damage at the second scene. The Mazdas were the most severely damaged.

Hussain was driving the Mazda Tribute and Febles-Madrazo was driving the Mazda 3.

The drivers of the Chevrolet and Volkswagen had minor injuries.

Police say the Chevrolet was behind Febles-Madrazo’s vehicle and collided with his car after the head-on collision.

The OPP are investigating.
