QEW reopened in Mississauga after several crashes

The QEW has reopened in Mississauga due to crashes involving about 20 vehicles, the OPP says.
It happened before 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Fort Erie-bound lanes between Erin Mills Parkway and Winston Churchill Boulevard.
Sgt. Dave Woodford says injuries were minor and drivers and passengers were taking shelter in fire trucks to stay warm.
Police said tow trucks and sanders were called in to help clear the section of highway before the lanes could be reopened.
OPP say they continue to experience a high volume of calls for collisions around the city due to the weather.
