Pedestrian struck & killed in Brampton

A pedestrian has died after he was struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Friday morning.
Peel police said the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. at Chinguacousy and Mayfield roads.
“It’s a construction area where they are doing some work alongside the roadway,” Const. George Tudos said.
“There were approximately a dozen workers within the area at the time of incident.”
Peel police told 680News the victim is possibly a construction worker who was on the job.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and age have not been released.
The Ministry of Labour has been called in.
Police have closed off the intersection for the investigation.
