Man dies after pulled from trench in Scarborough

Toronto police say a man has died after being pulled from a trench in Scarborough.
Toronto EMS officials said they received call for a man trapped in a trench in the Kingston Road and Midland Avenue area.
The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was without vital signs when he was extricated from the trench. He was pronounced dead in hospital.
Reports from the scene indicate there was a crew excavating when the incident occurred.
