Hold & secure lifted at Mississauga high school

A hold and secure at Lorne Park Secondary School in Mississauga was in place for more than an hour on Wednesday morning.

Peel police lifted the alert around 11:30 a.m., saying they were no longer concerned a former student would show up at the school with a weapon.

He had threatened a current student over social media on Tuesday night.

All students and staff are safe, according to police.
