Toronto police will be out in force Sunday evening with R.I.D.E. spot checks throughout the city, as people drive to or head home from Super Bowl parties.
Police are reminding party-goers that the TTC, designated drivers, and taxis are good alternatives to get home.
“I strongly suggest, if you can, take public transit or make alternate arrangements for a ride home,” Const. Clint Stibbe explained. “Even one drink is one drink too many. We need everybody to work together in order to keep the roads safe.”
Police are also asking anyone who spots a driver that appears to be impaired to call 9-1-1.
