Child OK after being struck in hit-and-run

A nine-year-old boy was struck in a hit-and-run in the area of Jane Street and Firgrove Crescent on Tuesday, Toronto police say.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 11:50 p.m.

Paramedics said the child was taken to hospital as a precaution with very minor injuries. He is expected to be fine.

Police are looking for the suspect who was in a blue Honda Civic, with a licence plate containing the numbers 773.

The suspect was last seen going northbound toward Finch Avenue.
