Replica gun found in Dundas Station, suspect still outstanding

Reports of a man with a gun at Dundas Station prompted an hour-long closure of part of the Yonge subway line early on Tuesday.

While police searched for an armed man, subway service was shut down between King and College stations as precaution around 2 a.m.

Officers and a canine unit were called to the scene at Yonge and Dundas streets.

Police found a replica gun on the tracks, but are still looking for a suspect.

He was seen leaving the area in a cab.

Police describe the suspect as an 18-year-old white male, about five-feet nine-inches and 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie with red sleeves, black jeans and a black back pack.
