Loblaws Great Food and Superstore union workers preparing for strike

Union members working at Loblaws Great Food and Superstore are preparing for a strike, but it’s not yet known when employees will hit the picket lines.
UFCW Canada Local 1000A members rejected the tentative agreement between the union and the company.
Ratification meetings were held across the province this week by union members.
The union said it is “ramping up strike preparations” and choosing picket captains for training, which the union said will take place this week.
The main issues are wages, work schedules and benefits, and the union said it will be reaching out to the company to seek a return to the negotiating table.
