Son charged in father’s stabbing death, knife was murder weapon

A Burlington man has been charged with his father’s murder after a stabbing in Burlington late Thursday night.

Halton police were called to a home on Guelph Line around 10:30 p.m.

The man who called police said there had been a stabbing at the home.

Police said the murder weapon was a knife and it was located inside the residence.

Wesley Nagel, 62, had been stabbed twice. He was rushed to a local hospital and then to a trauma centre, where he died.

Wesley Nigel Robert Nagel, 32, was staying at the home and was there when police arrived. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
