Sikh YouTube star forced to remove turban during airport security check

A popular YouTube comedian is claiming he was a victim of racial profiling after he was forced to remove his turban during a security check at a San Francisco-area airport.
Jasmeet Singh, the Brampton-based Sikh comedian better known online as “Jus Reign”, shared his story on social media Sunday night.
Singh tweeted that he was taken into a private screening room where he was body searched and his turban put through the x-ray machine.
After finding nothing on his person, Singh wanted to use a mirror to tie his turban back on but was told by security he would have to use the public washroom in the terminal.
Turbans are mandatory in public for Sikh men.
Singh mentions that he has had other friends who have decided not to wear their turbans to the airport, in order to prevent these types of instances from happening.
This is the second Sikh entertainer this month who endured a public airport encounter involving the religious headwear.
Sikh movie star Waris Ahluwalia was banned from boarding a flight from Mexico to New York when he refused to remove his turban during a security check.
The TSA has not comment on the incident.
