Bieber ‘sorry’ for cancelling tour meet-and-greets

Cue the sound of Belieber hearts breaking all over the world: Justin Bieber has cancelled all of his meet-and-greets for the remainder of his Purpose World Tour.
The Biebs announced last week via Instagram that he’ll no longer be meeting fans before his shows, most of whom had forked over thousands of dollars just to shake hands with the pop star.
The singer said the meet-ups left him feeling “drained” and “mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression.”
Bieber’s sold-out tour is scheduled to come to the Air Canada Centre on May 18 and 19.
Meet-and-greet packages for those shows started at $1222 or $2647 depending on the package, and tickets have been on sale since November.
Those with premium tickets have now been given two lacklustre alternatives. They can either give up their seats and receive a full refund or keep their tickets and settle with meeting members of Bieber’s dance troupe.
Third-party ticket vendor Bkstg posted a release about the options and explicitly stated no other reimbursement options are available, including partial refunds for fans that would still like to watch the show.
“There are no partial refunds, so you would also be forfeiting your ticket in exchange for your money back,” the release states.
Fans who kept their tickets are apparently being greeted with a cardboard cut-out of Bieber backstage to the rage and ridicule of many online.
