OPP make arrest in fatal long weekend stabbing at Wasaga Beach

The OPP have made an arrest in connection to one of two fatal Wasaga Beach stabbings that marred Victoria Day long weekend celebrations at the popular tourist destination.

Police say they’ve charged a 21-year-old man with second-degree murder in the death of Erick Tello-Arias.

The suspect’s name hasn’t been released.

Tello-Arias. 23, of Caledon, was attacked around 3:30 a.m. Monday morning on Main Street near a mini golf course called Skull Island.

His death came less than 48 hours after Francesco Molinaro,18, was stabbed to death on Saturday night outside of a Pizza Pizza on Mosley Street.

Molinaro’s killer remains at large.
