Teen stabbed outside Oshawa high school

A 17-year-old student was injured in a stabbing outside a high school in Oshawa.
It happened around 11 a.m. Thursday on a driveway outside Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School in the Stevenson and Rossland roads area.
Durham regional police said a blue van pulled up beside the student and a passenger slashed him with a knife. The teen was taken to a local hospital by ambulance with a knife wound to his side.
Police said he was alert and talking.
The school was briefly placed under hold and secure as police searched for the suspect.
Officers said it didn’t appear to be a random attack.
