One of two suspects sought in connection with Monday’s triple shooting in Woodbridge has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Rushawn Anderson, 19, turned himself in to police on Tuesday, the same day York regional police released his photo, along with the photo of 26-year-old Nicholas Rhoden. Both men are from Toronto.
Rhoden is still at-large and police say he is considered armed and dangerous.
Police are also searching for a vehicle that they say was used to flee the scene – a black, four-door, 2013 Honda Accord with tinted windows. The licence plate is BZMX 845.
Shots were fired out front of the Cameo Lounge on Steeles Avenue near Scholes Road, between Highway 400 and Fenmar Drive, around 3 a.m. Police said more than 100 people were at the scene and they’re asking any witnesses to come forward.
A 26-year-old Aurora woman and a 26-year-old Toronto man were shot at the lounge. Their injuries were not life-threatening. A third person, a 22-year-old Toronto man, remains in hospital.
