Toronto man wanted for attempted murder in botched downtown shooting

By News staff

Toronto police have issued an arrest warrant for a 28-year-old man they consider armed and dangerous.

Police were called to the Queen Street West and John Street area just before 2 p.m. on April 9 for a report of a person with a gun.

It’s alleged the man got into an altercation with a group of people, and then pointed a handgun at another man. He pulled the trigger twice but the gun didn’t fire.

The suspect took off.

Police are looking for Tyrell Evans, from Toronto, on 10 charges including attempted murder and assault with a weapon.

Police warn if you see the suspect not to approach him but call 911.
