Teen stabbed during robbery in Scarborough

A 17-year-old boy is in hospital after he was stabbed during a robbery in Scarborough.

Emergency crews were called to the Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road area around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police said the victim was robbed of his iPhone.

Paramedics said his injuries were originally considered life-threatening but have since been downgraded to serious.

There has been no word on suspects.
