Accused serial killer Bruce McArthur has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder. Below is what we know about the alleged victims.
- 44-years-old
- Reported missing on April 14, 2017, from Yonge and Bloor streets area
- Bruce’s exact relationship with Esen was unknown.
- 58-years-old
- Reported missing by his son
- Last seen October 14, 2012
- Killed on or around Oct. 18, 2012
- Frequented Church and Wellesley streets area
- Part of Toronto Police’s missing persons investigation, Project Houston
- 49-years-old
- Last seen on June 26, 2017 from Parliament and Winchester streets area
- He left his pet cat behind, which friends and family said was out of character
- In a sexual relationship with McArthur “for some time,” according to Det. Sgt. Hank Idsinga
- Born in 1973 and would have been 47 at the time of his death
- Never reported missing
- Was an occupant of the shelter system in Toronto, police say
- He used the Good Shepard in the past but hasn’t been here in a couple years. He received help and it was believed that he didn’t need help from the shelter anymore.
- Toronto police believe he was murdered between April 4, 2016 and March 15, 2017
- 50-years-old
- Reported missing in Scarborough by his family in 2015
- Killed on or around Aug. 15, 2015
