NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Latest on the arrest of a driver in a fatal crash that killed the child of a Broadway star (all times local):

Prosecutors in New York say a woman who had a seizure behind the wheel and then drove into a crosswalk striking and killing two children had been told by doctors not to drive.
Dorothy Bruns was charged Thursday with manslaughter and other crimes in the March death of 4-year-old Abigail Blumenstein and 1-year-old Joshua Lew. She pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors say Abigail and her mother, Tony-award winning actress Ruthie Ann Blumenstein, were crossing the street with friends Lauren Lew and her baby Joshua when Bruns drove into the crosswalk.
Bruns’ attorney didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. She faces 15 years in prison if convicted of the top charge.
District Attorney Eric Gonzalez says Bruns had a seizure behind the wheel in January and was hospitalized after crashing her car into a parked vehicle. Doctors at the time told her not to drive.

Authorities say a driver who lost control of her car and drove into a Brooklyn crosswalk, killing the 4-year-old child of a Broadway actress and another child, has been charged with manslaughter.
Dorothy Bruns was arrested at her Staten Island home on Thursday and is awaiting arraignment on manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and reckless driving. It wasn’t clear if she had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
Bruns reportedly had a seizure in March while stopped at a red light.
Actress Ruthie Ann Blumenstein and her 4-year-old daughter, Abigail, and Lauren Lew and her 1-year-old son, Joshua, were struck. Both children were killed.
Blumenstein, who is pregnant, said in a statement that it’s “a miracle” her fetus is unharmed.
Mayor Bill de Blasio says Bruns never should have been behind the wheel.
