5 youths arrested in connection with string of GTA robberies

Police arrested five young people in Brampton on Saturday morning in connection with a string of robberies across the GTA this week.

Officers said they were tracking a suspicious vehicle and made the arrests at Williams Parkway and Centre Street North around 10 a.m.

The intersection remains closed for the investigation.

They say there’s no threat to public safety.

Police issued a safety warning after about 15 robberies in Toronto, Hamilton, and Halton and Peel regions on Thursday and Friday morning, mainly targeting gas stations and convenience stores.
