Man dead after being struck by pickup truck in Mississauga

A man is dead after he was struck by a pickup truck in Mississauga early Friday morning.

It happened shortly before 6 a.m. on Hurontario Street, just south of Derry Road.

Peel paramedics confirm the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not crossing at the intersection.

Roads in the area are closed for the investigation.
