Toronto police officer injured in crash with bus shelter

A Toronto police officer has minor injuries after his cruiser careened into a bus shelter in the city’s east end on Sunday morning.
It happened around 9:15 a.m. near Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive.
Paramedics said they took the officer, who is in his 30s, to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The bus shelter was destroyed.
Roads remained open in the area.
