Man on skateboard dead in hit-and-run at Yonge and Sheppard

A 34-year-old man has died after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run in North York.
The man was riding his motorized skateboard and was struck by an older model of a Toyota Yaris, in silver/grey, around 1:17 a.m. on Monday at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue.
The man and driver were both travelling eastbound on Sheppard when the incident happened. The driver, an Asian woman in her 40s with black shoulder-length hair, got out of the car but then drove away.
There was a child in the back of the car.
