Black Friday, which is the day after U.S. Thanksgiving, is expected to be the biggest shopping day of the year, according to technology company ShopperTrak.

A Forum Research poll found one in four Canadians (24 per cent) plan to shop on Black Friday.

Around 43 per cent of those surveyed plan to do their shopping both online and in-store. One-third (31 per cent) said they would shop in-store while 27 per cent said they would do so online.

More than half (63 per cent) of those polled said they would spend less than $300 this year.
